About the Author
CRAIG HARRISON joined the Blues and Royals, a Household Cavalry regiment, at sixteen. He has served in Bosnia, two tours of Iraq and two tours of Afghanistan. He trained to become a sniper after his first Iraq tour and holds the world record for the longest recorded sniper kills. He was mentioned in dispatches for his bravery.

A heart wrenching story of heroism and terror.

Craig Herrison rose through the ranks and a tough childhood to become a sniper in the war on terrorists. He became very proficient and deadly all the while leading his men with courage and conviction. Badly wounded in an IED explosion his life began to spiral. The military used hi up and spit him out. Living with his PTSD and family Craig tries to rebuild his life.

very worthwhile read

Confirmed my opinion of the defence forces.....use people up and toss them out like so much rubbish. Same all over the world. I have intense sympathy for Craig ( and his family) and others in his position ( although I have trouble with all the horror and killing). Individuals are expendable to our leaders - when are they in the firing line?!
At a time when Craig Harrison should have been receiving the fullest treatment and support from the army for PTSD, he was totally abandoned and worse....he was literally thrown to the wolves severely compromising his and his family's safety.

What a great book. I honestly had a hard time setting ...

What a great book. I honestly had a hard time setting it down. Yes, it is a book about a British army sniper who holds the record for the longest confirmed kill but it is more than that. From a typical boy to a former sniper plagued by PTSD you are a witness to every step of his journey. I recommend this book very highly.
