Tim Bartlett is a former Naval Officer, professional yacht skipper and
Yachtmaster Instructor who is now a freelance yachting journalist
specialising in navigation, communications, and electronics. He also
trains RYA Radar Instructors and Powerboat Instructors, and is an SRC
(radio licence) Assessor. He writes regularly for boating magazines
worldwide and is the author of The RYA Book of Navigation, The RYA Book of Diesel Engines and The RYA Book of Outboard Motors, all published by Adlard Coles Nautical.

About the Author
Dr Fifield is married with three children and lives in Winchester. He holds a degree in Business Studies as well as an MBA and a PhD in Marketing Strategy, both from Cranfield University. He was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) in 1988, an elected member of CIM Council 1999-2001 and the CIM International Board of Trustees 2002-2004.Paul was appointed Visiting Professor at Southampton University School of Management in 2006. He is currently President of the CIM Southern Region and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce (FRSA). Over thirty years of listening, watching, learning and applying academic and strategic thought to marketing has created a fertile mind which Paul brings to his customers, his writing and his teaching. He listens watches learns and applies the best of his vast knowledge to help his clients' organisations align themselves to the market they wish to serve. Only after 20 years is the market segmentation approach that was born out of his PhD thesis coming of age; and forming the foundations of some competitive and exciting new market strategies.

Liam Clarke is Principal Lecturer in the Faculty of Health at the University of Brighton. He holds a PhD in social psychiatry, and diplomas in psychotherapy, theology and medical ethics. Beautiful story!!!

Sam is another one of those authors who's books are automatic buys for me. Henry and April have been fighting their feelings for each other for a long time but they finally come together. I like the fact that they took their time because the feelings of guilt are on both sides and they have to overcome that. You'll have to read the book to understand why they feel guilty, but trust me, it's great!!! When Sam writes a book like this, I love it because we usually get to see the couple years down the road and see get a glimpse of what their lives have been like. This is one book I'm sure I will read over and over.

This is a short read but it felt like a full novel to me

This my first book by this author but I have brought a couple of her books which I have not read so far and will have to get on with that.

This is Henry and April's story. This is a short read but it felt like a full novel to me. After how Julia betrayed them both, I hated how they allowed her memory and their guilty for loving each other make they waste so much time being apart instead of being together. I loved how Henry was gruff in the story he was just plain aggressive but it was because he had to bottle up so much of his emotions inside of him instead of letting the woman he loved know how much he cared about her.

I enjoyed the story. I would read more from this author.

I truly enjoyed this book. April and Henry are well written characters with a wonderful storyline. I enjoyed the theme of the story. It was nice to see them get closer and learn some important things surrounding the death of her friend. I liked seeing them get to their happy ending.

Jos� Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896) was a Filipino nationalist, novelist, poet, ophthalmologist, journalist, and revolutionary. He is widely considered as one of the greatest heroes of the Philippines. Charles E. Derbyshire (1880-1933) was the Translator of Noli Me Tangere in English. He Died April, 10, 1933 in Chillicotte Ohio.

This edition has a great intro

Excellent introduction on the historical context of Rizal's writing, especially regarding building social tensions with the Spanish clergy. Also appreciated that this edition offers the original Spanish text, in addition to the translated, English version.
Also, if you haven't read Noli me tangere yet and are interested in learning more about Filipino roots, this is a great place to start. Foreshadows current socioeconomic challenges in the country and provides (sometimes rather humorous) insight on Filipino culture, as heavily influenced by the Chinese, the Spaniards, and the Americans.

Must-read guide to Pranayama

I bought this as further study for a course I teach on pranayama. Wow! It's amazing. Once I got used to the style of writing (each paragraph is numbered), I found it easy to follow. I admit, I've read a few sections over and over again, but that's more to grasp the full depth of his teaching than because it's unclear. The book is full of pictures of B.K.S. Iyengar illustrating correct and incorrect postures and practices. The first 150 pages are dedicated to theory, philosophy and preparation, including how to sit and mudras and bandhas. The technique sections within each pranayama practice are presented clearly and easy to follow. I can't recommend this highly enough to a serious student of pranayama.

Over My Head For Now

There are two types of yoga books, in my experience.

One type is readable and understandable. I can take something useful from it for my practices.

The other type is like this book; in the weeds. There are many technical terms in Sanskrit and these are strewn liberally along the path that this book takes you.

Don't get me wrong. It's more of a question of how ready I am. On pranayama, I was hoping for a more general book with practices that I could adopt. I will need to wait until I can appreciate this king of approach.

Since I am not at that level, I cannot possibly say how good this book is. At my level, it is baffling, a necklace of technical words. I had to put the book down, and away, unfinished for now.

Fine and Serious overview of Yoga Breathing Exercises and Techniques

I am a student of Yoga who studied yoga through an Iyengar school of yoga. This is a serious book, not meant for beginners, which is a textbook of the higher art and practice of yoga breathing and breath retention techniques. For someone versed in a serious yoga practice, it is an enlightening and very helpful description of the whole subject by an acknowledged Indian master of the subject.
